The Early Childhood Education (ECE) program at Gaulim Teachers College is open to applicants with a passion for working with young children.
The program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and Christian values needed to support children’s early learning and holistic developmen
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Diploma in Early Childhood Education (3 years).
Submit a completed application form, certified academic transcripts, and two-character references.
The ECE Diploma is a three-year full-time program combining theoretical and practical learning experiences.
Year 1: Foundations of child development and learning.
Year 2: Early childhood pedagogy and practicum experience.
Year 3: Professional teaching practice and leadership in early education.
Each academic year includes a school-based practicum, allowing students to apply their learning in real classroom and community settings.
Students undertake a combination of courses focused on:
Child growth and development
Early childhood curriculum and play-based learning
Health, nutrition, and child safety
Teaching methods and classroom management
Christian education and moral development
Educational leadership and administration
Graduates of the Diploma in Early Childhood Education are qualified to:
Teach in Early Childhood and Pre-school centers
Work in community-based child development programs
Serve in NGOs and organizations focused on early learning
Pursue further studies in Education or related disciplines
